[book jacket]ADD-Friendly Ways To Organize Your Life
by Judith Kolberg and Kathleen Nadeau

Does staying organized constantly challenge you? Welcome to life in ADDLand! Don't give up, however. There's hope thanks to a handy book, ADD-Friendly Ways To Organize Your Life, by Judith Kolberg and Kathleen Nadeau, Ph.D.

Kolberg is a professional organizer who specializes in 'chronically disorganized' people (think she's run into anyone with ADD?); Nadeau is a psychologist and ADD expert. Both know ADD and appreciate the creative quirkiness that comes with it.

ADD-Friendly Ways To Organize Your Life is written clearly and formatted so you can find specific topics easily. An added bonus is the review page at the end of each chapter, covering a wide range of subjects about organizing things, time and paper. In fact, this isn't a book for reading cover to cover. Think of it instead as a handy reference guide. For example, if you're troubled by that tower of mail leaning over you, open to the book's sections about dealing with mail and you'll soon be tackling that tower with confidence.

I especially like the way the authors break down their suggestions into things you can do yourself, things needing a friend's help, and things better suited for a professional's help.

One caveat from my own experience: Not every idea presented is practical for people with ADD. But those are rare exceptions. On the whole, it's a very helpful reference.
