Many of us face every day thinking that the results of ADHD in our lives are the results of personal failures. We identify with our ADHD.
But it helps to re-frame this perspective by remembering that ADHD is an issue of brain chemistry. Your brain works differently than neurotypical brains.
This might sound subtle, but this shift – to blame your ADHD on your brain and not you personally – is profound. It’s made an enormous difference in the lives of those of us who have worked through it.
