ADHD holiday

The holidays can be really hard on people with ADHD.

There are loads of “shoulds” and “gottas,” extra tasks, activities, and pressures that pile up on top of lives that might already be running on the edge.

How can we make the holidays more enjoyable and less stressful?

In Episode #78 of the Kick Some ADHD podcast, we have a candid conversation where each of us shares about our own experiences with the holidays. And Dana provides some helpful food for thought about how to navigate through all the extra things the season can bring with it, starting with 3 important questions that will help set you up for success!

Along the way, we talk about some of the biggest holiday hazards for those of us with ADHD:

  • impulsive overspending
  • unrealistic expectations
  • unequal distribution of labor
  • procrastinating
  • failing to plan / waiting until the last minute
