I have a teensy assignment for you to help you live successfully and more easily with ADHD.
Say, “I approve of myself” at least 100 times a day.
Don’t make a big deal of it.
Just say, “I approve of myself” as you go about your day.
No need to count or chart.
Just say, “I approve of myself” a whole bunch.
Expect to feel uncomfortable at first.
You might even cry. I did.
That’s normal. You’ve probably spent years saying horrid things to yourself. Changing that message can be hard. But it’s important for ADHD success.
Extra credit for saying, “I approve of myself” while you’re looking in the mirror.
