ADHD SucksADHD sucks. So, what are you going to do about it?

You could complain. Lots of people complain about their ADHD. There can be lots to complain about.

  • I can’t focus.”  
  • “I can’t start anything.”
  • “I can’t get motivated.”

If you complain about your ADHD tell me something. How’s that working for you?

Yes, ADHD sucks. What are your options?

You could feel sorry for yourself. Lots of people hold life-long pity parties because of their ADHD.

  • “My life is so hard.”
  • “No one else struggles like I do.”
  • “My childhood was difficult.”
  • “I got blamed for things that weren’t my fault.”

Here’s what I wonder. Does feeling sorry for yourself help you create the life you want to live?

You’re right. ADHD sucks. What choice do you have?

You could deny it. Lots of people are in denial about their ADHD. Even when they have a diagnosis and a prescription for Ritalin or Adderall.

  • “Maybe the doctor is wrong.”
  • “I’m just lazy I don’t have ADHD.”
  • “I just need to try harder.”

If you’re in denial that you have ADHD, tell me. How is second guessing your lifelong challenges helping you out?

Unmanaged ADHD Sucks. There’s a Better Way.

Maybe you could accept that ADHD sucks and decide to do something about it. Face it head on. Get specific on how ADHD trips up your life. Learn everything you can about how to outsmart it. Figure out how to make ADHD your superpower.

I don’t have to ask how that’s working for you. Why? Because that’s what I’ve decided to do. I can tell you how that’s working for me. Once I decided to outsmart my ADHD, life started working in my favor.

Of course there were challenges. There still are. But, no way am I going to sit around and live at the mercy of my ADHD. There’s too much life to live. My years walking this planet are too precious to waste struggling.

ADHD may be riding along with me in my life’s journey. But it’s no longer driving. Guess what? Life no longer sucks.
